Your name, Kiwi & Bacon.. why?
My husband, TJ, and I designed the logo together during the chaos of our wedding planning. Even though we’re both of East-Indian descent, we were born and raised on either side of the Pacific Ocean – I’m from Canada, TJ’s from New Zealand. So the maple leaf represents me (the Canadian bacon), and the silver fern represents TJ (the New Zealand kiwi).
I was pretty proud of our wedding logo and wasn’t quite ready to let it go to the wayside. Even though I do most of the grunt work, TJ was the driving force behind the start of this little venture. He also gives me great ideas on how to tweak my designs once drafted.
So there you have it folks, the birth of Kiwi & Bacon Designs.
